How did the band come to be named Brass Knuckle Solution?
it was a joke when we we're in a deathmetal band "the shroud" we used to warm up with mosh songs and thats what we called it, so when we started a hxc band we just ran with it

what are your views on fighting at shows?
if it happens it happens, we sometimes encourage crazy shit at our shows, it gives people something to remember us by

pretty much what is up on our myspace right now, RECON, ACACIA STRAIN, YEARS SPENT COLD , DEICIDE, SUFFOCATION, PUNISHMENT,SHATTERED REALM, LINE OF SCRIMMAGE, ETERNAL LORD, 50 CENT

are any members in side projects other than BKS?
me and the singer are working on something TOP SECRET , my bass player jared has a band i cant pronounce the name of right now, and my guitar player is working on some hip hop beats

about 3 years

what do you base your lyrics on when writing new material?
killa chad's lyrics are about satan and violence and killing people

is there a large and thriving scene in the St. Louis area as well as throughout Missouri?
no st. louis is a blackhole of talented musicans but shitty bands and crowds, plus the promoters only want to make money and they dont like helping people i dont know where it will go to honestly

is this the original lineup and if not what is the current lineup?
pretty much, we have a hard time holding on to guitar players, if anyone is tuff and from STL hit us up!!!

how were you first exposed to the scene and what made you say i want to be in an band? fuck about 6-7 years ago i saw 7 angels and 7 plagues at a vfw and i was hooked, when i saw a bunch of queefs trying to play hardcore and they sucked , and i said i could do it better thats when i wanted to be in a band

when on tour and driving from city to city what is some of the weirdest shit you have seen happen or pass by? shit i think playin in the lou we see the weirdest shit, it's a fucked up city with fucked up people in it

what is the main fast food stop you hit when driving to an out of state show and why? wendys

where do you see the band in 3 years from now? on tour most likely or we'll all be in prison or on ozzfest throw'n jack ozzbourne through a fucking wall

the term hardcore has become so overused that any band putting a breakdown into a song is considered hardcore but explain to the readers what hardcore means to you?
to me it's kids from the streets that are pissed off about there surrounding and hate there fucking lives so they go to shows and see there favorite bands to vent and get out the angst sometimes in a violent way, sometimes in a positive way

what can someone expect to see when attending a BKS show in the St Louis area or anywhere in the state Missouri especially if they have never seen you live before?
lots of drama, my bass player being drunk, my singer call'n kids pussy's or faggots for not moshing hard, the owner of the club gett'n pissed by all the ruckas goin on, doods gett'n smashed, and just an all out auditory assault that makes your ears bleed

What is your most memorable show and why?
playing with BURY YOUR DEAD in our hometown at POP'S because there was a bunch of fashion kids there and they had no fucking idea what they we're in for , my singer came out in a bullet proof vest and said we we're signed to g-unit records and all kinds of crazy shit, we we're louder than fuck, our boys we're punch'n bitches in the face, and kick'n suckas in the head, it was just complete chaos, the doods in bury your dead loved it and i think the sound guy did as well , fuck everyone else fo real , we didnt get paid for anything and we are offically banned from playing pops

on your myspace page it says Banned from Pop's is that a venue in St. Louis and if yes could you explain to the readers why the band has been banned from there?
read the above story fuck it, that place is weak, apparently we incite gang activity and from fighting, and what not, fuck who cares

what is your favorite city and state to play shows in and also your least favorite and why?

Who are some of the bands that you enjoy touring with?
i would love to go on tour with acacia strain , recon, years spent cold, xtyrantx, merauder, HOODS, FUCKING ANYONE THAT WOULD HAVE US

What advice can you give to some of the newer bands starting out that maybe having a tough time and thinking about giving up?
please give up , fuck you, more room for us hahahaha

where do you think you would be right now had you not been exposed to the hxc metal scene?
i would prolly be a piece of shit right now or in a fraternity

why do you think that people always associate violence with hardcore shows and it always gives hxc scenes and shows a bad reputation?
hardcore is meant to be pissed and violent otherwise it would be called soft core, go hard or go fucking home!!

what is the worst injury that any of the band has had happen when playing show?
broken hands usally from punching fools
