http://www.myspace.com/pointofimpacthc

First off i would like to thank all of Point Of Impact for taking the time out to do this interview with Worldwidetakeoverzine

How did the band come to be named Point Of Impact

Roman: It was the original name for a punkband called take the fall. But when Tommy joined Yannick and Roman in Take The Fall they became hardcore band Point Of impact. Sanne and Dennie joined later.

who are some of the bands main musical influences

Sick of it all, hatebreed, terror, madball, slipknot, most precious blood, ..

are any members in side projects other than Point Of Impact

Yes, Tommy is a dj and live drums at parties

what are some of the expressions of the audiences as well as venue promoters faces when they realize that Sanne is the vocalist of the band especially if they have never heard of you before

‘she has a big throat’, ‘she’s got big boobs’, ‘holy shit what a voice’, ‘my mom yells at me that way’

how long has the band been together

actually in august 2007, and in October 2007 Dennie and Sanne joined

how many cds eps 7 inches split cds and demos has the band currently released

zero, but we’re busy on a demo

what do you base your lyrics on when writing new material

Sanne: I only write about what I know an what I live. You’ll never hear me shouting words that aren’t from the heart. As you can hear in our song ‘put your heart into it’

is there a large and thriving scene in the Limburg area as well as throughout Belgium

yes of course. The atmosphere is very great, new bands are welcome, lots of bands are friends, and you won’t be excluded. BUT, as a band you have to prove yourself to fit in.

is this the original lineup and if not what is the current lineup

As a full band, Point Of Impact, this is the original line-up

if you could have anyone do guest vocals on your next recording who would it be and why

Tommy: Joeri the singer of for my enemies

Roman: Chris, singer of personal vendetta

Dennie: Michiel, singer of essence

Yannick: Anthony, singer of Lastrada

Sanne: both singers of Angelskin

in only one sentence describe your sound to someone who has never heard you before

Allskool: oldskool en new skool mixed together

when the band is on tour in the van what is usually playing in the cd player

Studio Brussel, because the parents are the drivers

how were you first exposed to the scene and what made you say i want to be in an band

Tommy: through a friend

Roman: Through Yannick

Dennie: Through Sanne

Yannick: Through Sick of it all

Sanne: Through Thomas, a friend who used to be in a punk rock band with me

where do you see the band in 3 years from now

In Tommy’s basement, still working hard, but doing more shows, we’ll see where we get

when on tour and driving from city to city what is some of the weirdest shit you have seen happen or pass by

Tommy’s ass! Cool backstages. Some pedestrians, a band that really sucked. The drummer of Brickbat moshing on a little chair in the moshpit during a show.

who are some of the up and coming bands from the Limburg area as well as throughout Belgium that we should be on the lookout for

For my enemies, essence, unbreakable,

the term hardcore has become so overused that any band putting a breakdown into a song is considered hardcore but explain to the readers what hardcore means to you

hardcore is about the message. Music shouldn’t be about how it sounds, but how it feels.

How can the readers from around the world contact you about ordering merchandise

Pointofimpactbookings@hotmail.com

What is your most memorable show and why

Sunday Mosh, because there was a stage but we got to stand in front of it, close to the audience, there was a lot of moshing, we killed it!

Who are some of the bands that you enjoy touring with

Lastrada, for my enemies, essence, progress, the struggle, end of despair, …

What advice can you give to some of the newer bands starting out that maybe having a tough time and thinking about giving up

Never give up. Hard work really does pay off

what is the belgian beer that you would recommend to the readers

jupiler, cristal, ops-ale

where do you think you would be right now had you not been exposed to the hxc metal scene

in punkrock, poprock,

Sanne: I would still be a nerd

where else besides myspace can the readers go to to findout about upcoming shows and other band related information

Noxa, pointofimpactbookings@hotmail.com

why do you think that people always associate violence with hardcore shows and it always gives hxc scenes and shows a bad reputation

lot’s of people just don’t get it. It’s about losing your aggression but not in a violent way.

Do you have any upcoming shows that you would like to tell the readers about

Vlamrock! 30 august, AS!

Is there anything else that you would like to add that i may have forgotten to ask that the readers should know about

Tommy: single

Roman: single

Dennie: taken

Yannick: taken (by aliens)

Sanne: married (not really but you could look at it that way)
